IN 2007, DAVE AND MARGE RANDLES BUILT "THE CHEESE HOUSE" TO PROCESS MILK INTO YOGURT, BUTTERMILK AND CHEESE. THE PROCESSING FACILITY IS LOCATED ON THE 225 ACRE FAMILY FARMSTEAD, WHICH HAS BEEN IN OPERATION SINCE 1860. WE ARE LOCATED IN ARGYLE NY, WHICH IS ABOUT AN HOUR NORTH OF ALBANY ALONG THE VERMONT BORDER. ARGYLE CHEESE FARMERS' AWARD WINNING PRODUCTS COME FROM HIGH QUALITY MILK PRODUCED FROM LOCAL FAMILY FARMS, ALL WITHOUT THE USE OF ARTIFICIAL HORMONES! WHILE THE PRODUCT-LINE IS ALWAYS A WORK-IN-PROGRESS, MARGE BEGAN WITH YOGURTS AND HAS SINCE EXPANDED THE LINE OF PRODUCTS TO INCLUDE CHEESES, CHEESE SPREADS, CHEESECAKES, BREADS, GREEK YOGURT, GELATO AND CULTURED WHOLE BUTTERMILK. ARGYLE CHEESE FARMER IS ALSO THE FIRST IN THE AREA TO OFFER YOGURT IN A RECYCLABLE, RETURNABLE GLASS CONTAINER
Our 20,000 sq ft. state of the art facility, built in 2007, abides by strict food safety guidelines. Carioto has received over 98% for the past 3 years on our NSF Cook & Thurber Annual Food Safety Audit. The temperatures in our refrigeration units never vary more than +/- 1 degree and are monitored by an off site security alarm company.

Our staff starts very early in the morning to input your order into our system and make sure the trucks are loaded with your order.
